The yin to the money saving yang is earning more money. It’s not always very easy to do this. You may have a full-time job, a family, sometimes school and a second job already. How do you fit anything else in? While the following suggestions will not make you rich, they are some low effort ways to add a little extra spending money to your wallet.

Be a Busy Little Mobee…

Mobee is a secret shopping app that lets you perform quick missions in the store while you shop. Once you are in the store and begin your mission, you’ll be presented with 5-10 questions that will take you just a few minutes to answer. Your mission will then be reviewed by the Mobee team within 24 hours and you’ll receive the specified points in your account. You can begin to cash out for charity donations at 350 points or gift cards at 500 points.

Open your account using my referral code QVLL and you’ll receive 300 points (equal to $3) to start. After completing all of the background information missions, you’ll have to claim your points in the Achievements section of the app. You’ll get 100 points for the Newbee I achievement and 200 points for the Newbee II acheievement.

One other point to remember–the mission map zeroes in on your location pretty tightly. So make sure to expand the map to see the surrounding areas and find missions. I thought I wasn’t seeing any open missions in my area until I realized that the default map view only shows my street and a few nearby. Once I expanded it to include our “downtown” area and a few close cities, I had lots of available missions.

So get to it here you busy little Mobee–and don’t forget to use referral code QVLL for $3 worth of free points!

Google it! Wait no, Bing it!

The next time you search the internet–and who among us doesn’t do this many times a day–try using Bing instead of Google. It’s just as reliable and they’ll pay you for it! Set your browser search bar default to Bing and you’ll never miss out on any points that can add up to gift cards.

You’ll need a free Microsoft account to sign up and keep track of all of your points. There’s a tier program, so the more often and longer you use the service, the faster you can rack up the points. Level one offers 5 points for every search up to a maximum of 50 points per day. There are always bonus points and daily offers available to boost your balance. Once you reach 500 points in a month, you move to Level two. Here you can earn 5 points per search, up to 150 via desktop searching and then another 100 via mobile searching, for a total of 250 points per day. You just need to maintain 500 points per month to remain at level two.

You can earn more points if you download and use the Microsoft Edge browser for your internet needs as well. After accumulating 5,250 points you can cash out for a $5 Amazon gift card (or a variety of other rewards options).

Shopkick It Up a Notch!

Shopkick is the app that lets you earn gift cards for the all the shopping you already do at stores like Walmart, Target, Old Navy, American Eagle Outfitters, and more. Shopkick allows you to cash out at 500 kicks which is equal to a $2 retailer gift card.

Ya Gotta Ibotta!

Ibotta is another shopping app that rewards you for your grocery purchases. Download the app to your smartphone and unlock cash rebates for certain products by completing simple tasks. Go shopping at any supported store and complete your purchase. At home, scan the item’s bar code and receipt and within 24 hours, the rebate will be posted to your Ibotta account. You can cash out to a Paypal or Venmo account at a $20 minimum, or choose from a collection of gift cards. Sign up here and you’ll score a $10 welcome bonus!

Nice site Amy! Check out Gigwalk. I’ll cut the cord on TV service one of these days…

Thanks Matt! I’ve heard of Gigwalk, but hadn’t looked into it yet. Will definitely check it out. Ah, sending back all of that Dish equipment was pretty liberating ๐Ÿ˜€ We don’t regret cutting the cord one bit!
